Flute maker Odell Borg makes each Native American style High Spirits flute from a solid piece of the finest cedar, walnut, birch and other fine domestic plantation-grown woods or recycled lumber, finished with three coats of a non-toxic hardening oil for durablity and clarity of sound. Each Native American style flute is precision-tuned so that it will blend perfectly with other instruments.

This High Spirits flute was designed in honor of the Native American medicine flute.

The Kestrel flutes are fun to play along with the Bass flutes; for example, the Bass "D" sounds great with the Kestrel "D" and so on. The Kestrel "D" is two octaves higher than the Condor Bass "D" flute, but it still has a sweet voice and is a terrific pocket flute.

Available in the keys of "D", "E", or "F#"

Double Kestrel in "high D". With a double flute you play the melody on one side and the other side provides the drone in the root note of the flute - it sounds like two people are playing.

Double flutes have a double mouthpiece so you can switch from a double flute to a single flute instantly with adjustments. Our style is unique and generates more amplitude (volume) and the drone plays the low and high octaves easily.
